I’m really not sure what to say about this book. I did expect more on this subject. The book is very short, and I managed to get through the book very quickly.
Maybe it’s about me; I read a lot, and I expect much more from books now. I do have to say that this book was free when I got it – so I don’t have to complain about paying for the provided information.
For me, everything that is shared in this book are just common sense things. I was realized of almost every one of the tips shared in this book before I even read it.
These kind of information are more suitable for blog, not for book – in my opinion.
This book could be useful for those who are beginners, and just starting out to learn more how to boost their productivity. I’m long pass that stage, and that’s why this book is not suitable for me.

Work Smarter Not Harder 18 Productivity Tips That Boost Your Work Day Performance eBook Timo Kiander Reviews
Overall this book is a good summary of useful tips to make your working habits more productive. Does not go into deep details but makes suggestions how you can further help yourself by checking other articles or applications. No surprises in the tips as most of them are really just commonsense actions you already know. But it is good to have them pulled together in one short book.
I bought this book as I believe in working smarter rather than harder and I wanted to read what Timo advised.
This book is well-written and easy to read.
There is lots of good advice particularly on diet and sleep at the beginning of the book.
The tips are backed up by interesting research and I certainly found enough points to make my time more productive
Timo mentions the date 2015 in the book but really his advice is timeless. I liked the title and was not disappointed with the contents or the way his many tips were presented. Very helpful ideas combined with a good understand of the issues we face so worth reading.
18 tips from experience. I liked his finding "drinking water improves your brain performance by 14%"
Tasks are either long-term effect or short-term effect. You should spend more time on long-term effect tasks.
Checklists! I actually found I had a new idea of how a checklist could be (attached) You make your own
daily tasks that you have to do anyway, and insert a red checkmark in the little box if you had just done
that task now.
I perused this book in conjunction with this book. This is a good book.
The 1% Principle
This book is a short and quick read of less than 100 pages.
The author has shared some personal experiences but no notable benefit of these tips.
However, the book looks an affiliate marketing attempt due to spoilers.
Anyway, beginners may give it a try.
I found some useful tips in this book that I can use right away. Especially the "frog" metaphor. I'm one of those people that gets overwhelmed by the frogs in my day. Maybe because I'm in HR where I often have to deal with unpleasant tasks that I would prefer to avoid. Facing the frog is never as bad as one expects it to be!
I thought this book offered pretty routine productivity advice - things such as use a task checklist, avoid distractions, try to focus, process your email better, etc. Nothing special at all.
And some of the ideas seemed really trivial, such as using an app launcher to launch your computer apps easier. I thought really? Does the boot time of my email program, spreadsheet, or browser seriously affect my overall productivity? If so, I probably have bigger productivity issues...
Sorry to say, but I wouldn't recommend this book to anyone except a complete novice at productivity and time management.
