I really love the way the series is going. I love the characters and can't wait for more! If you want to keep dry panties it is better to take them off when reading this. It is a scorcher. This is not your typical love story and for that I am happy! I love the way that the author has and continues to develop the characters as well as their relationship. Is it to early to wonder when the next book will be out?
In the Steam-Punk world of Trimus and Bex the adventure continues. Bex is to become Trimus's familiar, he will be able to see what she sees.
They start training and Bex follows a Psionic Inquisitor to a building when she jumps to the roof she discovers she did not get claws. She discovers what the inquisition is doing but feels that she stopped showing Trimus what she sees, as she starts to leave the building she is spotted. Once Bex has gotten away she Tells Trimus what she saw. They save the men in the building from the fire that was started and now have to discover what the Psionic Inquesition is up to. Waiting for the next one.
In an alternate, steampunk universe the wizard Triamus, aka Big Daddy Magic, and his submissive catgirl Kitten adjust to their new life. Because of her transformation, Kitten is perpetually horny. Luckily, Triamus is there to keep her naughty, nimble body in line with his discipline, even when she's bratty.
But trouble brews. The Psioninc Inquisition's power grows. Rumors of their cruelty have spurred Triamus into action. But he needs a spy—a familiar. And Kitten is perfect for the task. He needs her to stealthily infiltrate a Psionic Inquisition stronghold and discover what foul deeds they are up to.
Will Kitten succeed or will her perpetual horniness cause her to mess up?
Calderwood expands the fascinating world he introduced us to in the first part, as well as expand on the Daddy Dom/little girl BDSM dynamic between Triamus and Kitten. He captures the playful brattiness of her kitten personality perfectly and it is hot reading how Triamus both pleases his sub and keeps her in line, enhancing his steampunk erotica.

First off wow, just wow! If you loved the first book then the second will not disappoint! In this next installment we get to dive deeper into this mystical world with more magic, mystery, and super hot sex! I love how they're figuring out the inner workings of their relationship like a real couple. This series truly sucks you in. I couldn't put it down! I seriously can't wait until the next book!
Daddy and Kitten are so adorable. I love reading about the evolution and continuation of their newly experienced DD/lg relationship.
The magical plot line remains interesting and I look forward to where it's going.
Just as I'm getting into the story, it ends, which is the bummer part of a serial, but I'm eagerly jumping to book 3 now.
You know that saying, "The sequel is never as good as the original?" Well, Bryce just smashed that to hell!
In Familiar, we get to see Trimus and Bex developing in their relationship. (And damn, is it hot!)
This is a magical world that Bryce has such an amazing talent for creating, and you'll find yourself sucked in once again in a world that only he can make come to fruition! Definitely a fun, hot, and sexy, 5 star read!
Bryce doesn't disappoint! I read the first in this series, and at the end of the first book I just HAD to start this second book! He describes a world that sounds wonderfully magical and I love seeing what his mind can conjure up! Book 2 continues on the adventure of the relationship between a wizard and his new familiar, Kitten, who is adjusting to what life as part human/part cat (as a result of a magical mishap) can be. I love that he tries to put you into the mind of her and imagine what it might feel like to have cat like instincts but the limitations of a human. Even more, it's heart warming to see the feelings that the wizard has towards her, feeling not just responsible for her but truly knowing that she is a piece of his life that he was missing. It's not just an erotic book to use for it's steamy scenes (although if that's all you read it for, it would NOT disappoint!) but it definitely is worth the read if you have a creative mind that likes stories that are out of the ordinary. ;-)
